Business utilities, made simpler.

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or services.

Last Updated: August 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website operated by UK Utilities 4 Business Ltd ("we", "us", "our") and the utility brokerage and management services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Our Services

UK Utilities 4 Business acts as a Third Party Intermediary (TPI) and utility broker for UK businesses. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Comparing business electricity, gas, water, waste, and telecoms tariffs across our network of suppliers.
  • Presenting you with utility quotes and recommendations.
  • Facilitating the switching process or contract renewal on your behalf.
  • Providing ongoing utility account management and dispute resolution support.

Letter of Authority (LOA)

To act on your behalf, we will require you to sign a Letter of Authority (LOA). This document grants us permission to contact your current and prospective suppliers, obtain billing information, and negotiate rates on your behalf. The LOA does not grant us permission to sign contracts on your behalf unless explicitly stated and authorized.

3. Your Obligations

To enable us to provide accurate quotes and facilitate successful switches, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information regarding your business, premises, and historical utility usage.
  • Promptly supply any necessary documentation requested, such as recent utility bills or a signed LOA.
  • Inform us immediately if any information you have provided changes or becomes inaccurate.
  • Ensure you have the legal authority to agree to utility contracts for the premises in question.

We will not be held liable for any delays, financial losses, or contract rejections resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.

4. Fees & Remuneration Transparency

We are committed to operating a transparent business model in compliance with Ofgem guidelines and the TPI Code of Practice.

Our service is completely free for you to use. You are under no obligation to accept any quote we provide. We do not charge you a direct fee for our procurement services.

How we get paid

If you choose to accept a utility contract through us, we receive remuneration directly from the chosen supplier. This is typically structured in one of the following ways:

  • Uplift: A minor fraction of a penny is added to your unit rate (kWh) for the duration of the contract. The supplier pays this accumulated uplift to us as a commission.
  • Fixed Fee: Alternatively, the supplier may pay us a fixed introductory or management fee for securing and managing the contract.

The quotes we present to you are fully inclusive of our remuneration. You will never receive a separate invoice from us for our procurement services. If you require specific details regarding the exact commission earned on your specific contract, you may request this information in writing at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on this website—including, but not limited to, text, logos, graphics, images, guides, and software—is the property of UK Utilities 4 Business Ltd and/or its content creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our express written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to ensure that all information and quotes provided are accurate and competitive, UK Utilities 4 Business makes no absolute guarantees regarding the future trajectory of wholesale utility markets.

  • We are not a utility supplier. The final contract is between your business and the chosen utility supplier. We are not liable for any breaches of contract, billing errors, or service interruptions caused by the supplier.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business goodwill, arising out of your use of our services.

7. Termination

You may terminate your relationship with us at any time by withdrawing your Letter of Authority in writing. Please note that terminating our LOA does not terminate any live utility contracts you have legally entered into with a supplier; you will remain bound by the supplier's terms until the end of that contract.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you have a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it amicably.
